Andy is an old friend of Bob. They go way back, having met when they were in the Army in Vietnam. Andy doesn't talk much, in fact, he doesn't talk at all and hasn't for years. For some reason, Bob and Andy can communicate, telepathically or some such weird thing.

Andy holds a Doctorate in Art but swore off painting and hunting when he returned from 'Nam 35 years ago. He likes to hang out at Barnbar since Bob convinced him to move to this God-forsaken place when Bob took over the bar.Andy doesn't drink anything from the bar, brings his own coffee and water. Maybe he knows something the others don't... Bob is all that Andy has; and that's not much!
